When you decide to put your home on the market in Spokane, you must make a laundry list of choices, not including when to sell your home. Believe it or not, there is a right time. Knowing that time can get your house sold faster and at a higher asking price when selling your home in the Spokane Real Estate market.
A lot can go into selling your home in the Spokane Real Estate Market. It can often be chaotic...You will be choosing a Realtor, making improvements, coordinating your schedule for showings and Open Houses, and possibly shopping around for a new home. However, one consideration that is sometimes overlooked is when to sell your home and how the time of year can affect your sale.
Surprisingly, summertime is not the best time to sell a home. There are so many homes listed that the competition is fierce. If you are looking for a speedy sale, then start getting your home ready early. February and March are actually great times to get your home listed. The holidays are over, show is beginning to melt..mostly, the days are warmer and longer which will get more people in your door. AND there isn't as much competition!
Can't get your home ready that early? The next best time is early spring and summer - May, to be clear, is the next best time to get your home listed. Specifically, plan for the first few weeks of May.
Houses sold during this time frame tend to sell quicker and often for a higher asking price due to the low inventory and possible multiple offer situations.
Of course, there always exceptions.
Bottom line... While there are no magic days to sell your home, putting your home on the market in the late spring or early summer increases your chances of a quicker sale and a higher profit. Decide on your target date you want to sell your home and work backwards from there to ensure you don't miss your mark!
