I am going to come up with some scenarios on why a seller would consider selling their home and then come up with their Why.
You out grew your home:
Coming from a big family I know what its like to be stuck in a house with too many people. It feels like a bunch of sardines jammed together. It doesn't feel like anyone has their own space and there is zero privacy. So you decide it's time to buy a bigger house. Why because you have a growing family and need the extra space. So when you go to sell your house and life doesn't slow down it only seems like your'e barely keeping your head above the water. Having kids alone takes up a bunch of time in itself and can be stressful and adding another major decision on that could seem too much. But if you can look back at the Why you know how much better off that situation will be if you push through. So those days you don't seem to have enough time, you find time knowing where you're going to end up if you do!
You are a empty nester:
You have made it! All your kids are gone and you no longer have to have this big house. Its just you and your significant other. There is no need for this wasted space. You don't want to have to take care of a house this big. You want to buy something small and closer to your grand kids. These are great reasons Why. As you start getting the house ready you start to look through old boxes of pictures. The many years start to flash before your eyes. You're laughing and crying with all the memories that fill this place. As you sit in bed you feel like your'e throwing it all away. All these great memories will die if you sell things house. (Not being in this situation that seems silly but when emotions come in logic sometimes leaves). But if the seller remembers their Why they will understand they are going to be to make so many more memories and that the place isn't what makes them survive. They will have more time on their hands not worying about taking care of this huge house.
Loss of a job:
You have been working hard but the company had to make cut backs and unfortunately you were one. You start to go look for jobs but there isn't anything that can meet you and your families needs. Your'e already stressed and then the bills keep coming and coming. You are in a pit and you can't seem to get out of it for the life of you. You want to give up but your family needs you and you need to do whatever it takes. Then come the Why, they know that selling their house will be a boost to get them above water. It wont be easy but will be a launching pad for them and their family. Without the Why they could try hard to hold on the a sinking ship and stay in that downward spiral.
The Why is what pushes us forward in the hard times and the good times. Until you find that out for yourself then your selling path can be blown by the wind one way or another. Once you get your Why you can begin the process to sell your house for the most!
