Most importantly a Realtor that you hire to sell your home needs to know how to price your home right to get it sold most efficiently and get you the most money. There are many Realtors out there that will promise you the world and not deliver. Be very careful who you choose to represent yourself.


When selling your home you need a Realtor that knows the latest technologies and strategies in marketing. With the right marketing, your home can be sold on time and for the most part more than you were expecting.


Your Realtor should be knowledgeable and willing to educate you on the selling process. Once you list your home, offers will be coming in and you need a Realtor that can explain the difference between each offer, that way you can make the best decision. Also, a knowledgeable Realtor will pay attention to details such as: is the Buyer pre-qualified?


The Realtor you hire to sell your home must have strong negotiation skills. In the selling process, there is a lot of negotiations involved and you want to be confident that your Realtor will do their best to act in your best interest!


Another important factor to look for in a Realtor is: Are they stress resistant? A selling process can be quite stressful and it does not help if your Realtor is just as stressed as you are! Therefore, you need someone that is confident and will be able to deal with any hick-ups that arise through-out the selling process.


Lastly, this issue has been coming up more and more often and as a seller, you need to be on the lookout. Make sure that your Realtor has great communication skills! Each transaction requires a lot of communication and you need some that will be great to communicate with. A Realtor that answers their calls or gets right back to you and is willing to answer any questions that arise. A Realtor that communicates well with other Realtors when showings get set up. A Realtor that communicates with the Lenders and stay on top of the transaction, that way you will have one less thing to worry about!


In conclusion, when selling your home always look for professional, honest and a Realtor with a great attitude.
