There are few things you want to consider when asking yourself if you need to paint your house before putting it on the market.
Think about going to a job interview or meeting someone important for the first time. The first thing you want to do is look your best, make their first impression of you a good one. That is the same thing to think about when considering whether or not to paint the exterior of your home. This is going to be the buyer's first impression of your house. So would painting the outside of your home improve your curb appeal?
The clean fresh look of fresh paint can make your home more appealing to buyers. Also a freshly painted house shows to buyers that you have cared about the property.
Keep in mind that if the outside of your home has been maintained and the paint is not looking worn or faded then sometimes just cleaning the outside of the house is enough to spruce it up. Making sure to spray off entryways to the house and the eaves of all the cobwebs and dirt and grime that has built up.
Also something else to consider is do you want to spend the funds to either paint it yourself or hire someone to do it. Doing it yourself would be less money but you have to also consider that your time is worth something too.
If you are not sure if you should paint your home before selling, that is definitely something you should ask your agent. They would be able to give their opinion on if that would help in selling your home quicker and for the price you want.
