Your thinking of selling or purchasing a home and you want to find the best real estate professional out there. You are wise to be thinking about that.
Picking the right real estate agent can save you thousands. Whether your selling or purchasing you want someone with great negotiation skills You want to get the best price you can get. You also will need help negotiating any needed repairs.
The agent needs to have your best interest at heart. They need to watch out for you and protect you with the needed contingencies. These will be the financing, title, home insurance, inspection and neighborhood contingencies. You may need a buyer’s pending sale contingency. These vital contingencies are put in place to protect you should the home not work out for you as the buyer.
As the seller your real estate agent should be vetting any offers by calling the lenders to make sure the buyer is “actually preapproved”. Has the lender looked at their assets, income, debt to income ratio, taxes and verified the buyer’s employment?
If your selling you want to ask about how they will market your home? How will they take the pictures? Do they use professional photographers? Will they give you honest feedback about showing? After all if there is something that buyers are commenting on about an issue, you definitely want to know so you can correct it.
Are they going to communicate with you? How often? Are they available and totally committed to making this a great experience for you?
One of the best ways to pick out an agent is to interview them. Look them up online and check out what other people are saying. Do they have positive reviews? Do they have a lot of them? Do they have experience. You can check out their reviews and sales on Zillow and other major platforms.
You have already taken the first step to finding a stellar real estate professional just by asking.
