Many homeowners before selling their home, wonder what are some of the things they can do to improve the value of their home.
To start off I recommend checking your exterior look. When you drive up to the property you want it to look appealing and fresh. First of all, have the law mowed, landscaping updated, and maybe have a few flower pots if that fits into the look. If you want to go an extra mile I would recommend repainting your trim and repaint the exterior walls. This would look amazing to anyone driving by and especially to the buyers. Also, this will add a great first appearance when selling your home!
Now, moving into the interior of the house. Here I would recommend sellers to paint interior walls into neutral colors. This way buyers have an easier time visualizing how their furniture and belongings will fit into the space. Next, make sure that you at least shampoo the carpets before selling your home! This will eliminate some odors and the house will have a cleaner look. I would also recommend that you consider replacing carpets with new once, noting super expensive, but it would definitely beat the look of old carpet! If you have hardwood floors, consider refinishing them to get a more appealing look. If you want to go an extra mile, you can refinish your kitchen cabinets by sanding them down and painting them into neutral colors or even better staining them! Also, if you are refinishing the kitchen cabinets do the same to your bathroom cabinets to have one smooth look throughout.
With these few home improvements you can bring up the value of your house and as a seller attract more buyers in any market and get your house sold for more!
