I got into Real Estate when I went through the process of buying a home. That’s right. I survived it. Not only had I come out on top (FINALLY) with my dream home, but I had the most fulfilling experience I just can’t wait to pass on.
I decided to look into purchasing my first home when I was 25, with a little push from my father and having to deal with landlords. My father had a family friend who was a Realtor who wanted to help out and I wanted to give him my business. Every home we went into that I wanted to put in an offer for, he would always say “Tomorrow Ill type up the offer and get it mailed out.” He didn’t use the internet. Well, in a faced paced market that translated to me as a buyer, loosing out on home after home.
When I finally had enough of the emotional turmoil of getting my hopes up again and again, I heard of another agent I should be working with. Her nickname was “The Bulldog” because she was aggressive and got right on in there for her buyers on the home they wanted. I went out with her for a few months, but after searching for almost a year, I wanted to pull out my own hair. I wasn’t looking at “One More”, you couldn’t make me.
But she did. And it was amazing. She learned my tastes and when this home hit the market I must’ve been the first one to know. I walked through the home and by the time the tour was over, I was tickled pink, jumping in excitement, literally pushing her out the door to go write up the offer and get me that home. And she did.
Long story short, I had lots of struggles and frustrating moments, but in the end my family and I are in a wonderful home and I can barely remember the drowning of terrible feelings I had working towards this goal.
All I want for each and every one of my clients is to have that same excited, in love feeling when they find the perfect home. Its truly a greedy experience on my part because I thrive from your happiness and am motivated by your success. Thank you for reading and I hope you and I can share that connection soon.
